Does it hurt, and is there downtime?

Injections can cause some discomfort, and a stinging or warm feeling in the area is common for a short time. Swelling, bruising, tenderness or numbness may follow and usually settle over several days. Swelling can be noticeable for a few days, so it is worth planning around important events. You will receive individual aftercare advice.

When might I notice a difference?

Any change develops gradually over the following weeks, as swelling settles and the body clears the treated cells. Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed.

How long do results last?

Fat cells that have been broken down are cleared by the body, but the remaining fat cells in the area can still change if your weight changes. Taise can discuss what this may mean for you.

Are there any risks or side effects?

As with any injectable treatment, there are risks. The most common are swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness and numbness. Less often, lumps, an uneven result, skin problems or infection may occur. Taise will go through the risks with you before any treatment.

Is it suitable for everyone?

No. It may not be recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an active infection in the area, or with certain medical conditions or medicines. Your full medical history will be reviewed first.
